What does my LA LOTUS membership actually do?

Membership is not about choosing a political side. It is about having a place in the conversation, a way into the room, and a practical way to make something happen.

Each Circle is a different way of creating civic impact — with concrete initiatives underneath it. Select one to explore.

Leadership Circle

From representation to a seat at the table.

LA LOTUS should not simply encourage communities to participate in government. We should help qualified people find pathways into the places where decisions are actually made.

What this Circle does

Where appropriate, LA LOTUS members have real opportunities to participate. Membership does not confer control over organizational decisions or any legal voting right beyond what LA LOTUS governing documents provide.

Founding Period Membership

There is no membership fee and no payment information is collected. You will not be charged, now or automatically later.

Beginning January 1, 2027:

Individual: $30/month or $320/year

Business / Organization: $70/month or $750/year

Already contributed to LA LOTUS?

Individuals who have already made a financial contribution to LA LOTUS are eligible for membership and do not need to purchase a separate membership.

Represent Your Community

LA LOTUS believes every community deserves a seat at the table. Members may apply to serve as Community Ambassadors and help strengthen relationships between LA LOTUS and the communities they represent.

Community Ambassadors help organize outreach, introduce candidates to their communities, identify local priorities, and ensure diverse voices are represented in our conversations and decision-making processes.

Grow With LA LOTUS

A pathway of increasing involvement, responsibility, contribution and trust. These roles are earned through participation — they cannot be purchased, and neither membership payment nor a political contribution confers a Community Ambassador, Circle Chair or Advisory Council position.

Advisory Council members provide expertise, insight, and community perspective while helping strengthen LA LOTUS's impact throughout Los Angeles.
