Peel Regional Police charged a Brampton man over five break-ins Mar–Aug 2023, three at places of worship where donation boxes were taken, plus an Oct 4, 2023 temple break-in near Mississauga Rd. Police stated these were crimes of opportunity and not motivated by hate. Same man previously charged in 2022 over a dozen temple break-ins in Malton/Brampton.
